Online Dictionary

Hello friends! Here is a very interesting text. This article is about reengineering business processes.

Reengineering

This article is about reengineering business processes

Reengineering (or re-engineering) is the radical redesign of an organization's processes, especially its business processes. Rather than organizing a firm into functional specialties (like production, accounting, marketing, etc.) and looking at the tasks that each function performs, we should, according to the reengineering theory, be looking at complete processes from materials acquisition, to production, to marketing and distribution. The firm should be re-engineered into a series of processes.

In this unit (online dictionaries) we learned how to use the dictionary and we also used online’s dictionaries. Here is an example of two words from the last article.

Introducing Myself

Hi, there! My name’s Ricardo Molina but you can call me Ricky. I’m from Maracaibo, originally. I live in Maracaibo, in Sector: El PIlar. I’m 20 years old and I study engineering at URBE. My favorites subjects are mathematics and English.

I love reggaeton music and American rock music, surfing the net, studying English, talking on the phone with my friends, cheese pizza, Spaghetti, chocolate, my family, my country Venezuela and my dog Scooby.

I hate onions, cauliflower, cucumber, smoking, getting up early on the weekends, violence, war, injustice, and washing the dishes.

My dream is to travel around the world, visit New York and California, and work with Bill Gates. Of course, I want to graduate from Engineering School and be a good engineer. I also want to learn to speak French, and Italian. I’d love to work in an important company and buy a house, get married and start a family.

About English, I love to learn new languages. I think English is very important. I listen to music and watch TV in English. It’s a good exercise. I also chat on the internet and have friends in many countries. I write well. The most difficult for me is pronouncing. I need to practice more. I hope I can make a lot of friends and practice speaking in this class.
